How to prevent clumping of powder coating

Powder coatings are pollution-free and environmentally friendly products that save energy and resources. Powder coatings tend to clump at certain temperatures, which is a natural law, but there are also ways to prevent clumping.
1) In the production of polyester resin, some alcohols or acids that can increase its glass transition temperature are selected, or the amount of alcohols that can lower the glass transition temperature of the resin is reduced to increase the glass transition temperature of the polyester resin.
2) Reduce the use of low glass transition temperature polymers such as leveling agents and brighteners in powder coating formulation design to ensure that the glass transition temperature of the powder coating system does not decrease.
3) In terms of production, the crushed materials from the steel strip should be thoroughly cooled before entering the grinding process. During grinding, the feeding speed should be appropriately reduced, the induced draft air volume should be increased, and air conditioning should be installed on the inlet air to control the grinding temperature. However, if the crushed material cannot be cooled down before grinding, the subsequent methods will not be effective. It is possible to consider using forced cooling of the crushed material for low-temperature treatment, which is more effective than installing air conditioning.
Furthermore, anti caking agents such as nano silica (VK-SP15) or nano alumina (VK-L20M) micro powder can be added to prevent adhesion between powder particles. Anti caking agents generally have the best grinding effect when ground together with crushed materials.
The superiority of plastic powder lies in its corrosion resistance, good adhesion, and good waterproofing. It rarely fades or falls off after use, and the performance of powder coatings is also similar, with a long service life.
