The baking temperature and time of powder coatings are carefully considered

In furniture production, paint is needed for baking treatment, and paint belongs to coatings. In coatings, there are liquid coatings and powder coatings, which are different in terms of usage methods and effectiveness.
The baking temperature of powder coating has a significant impact on the color difference of the coating film. Due to the limited heat resistance of organic pigments and some inorganic pigments used in powder coatings, especially in indoor powder coatings where some resins, curing agents, and additives have low heat resistance, it is difficult to meet the color difference requirements of the coating when the baking temperature exceeds this temperature range. Therefore, it is necessary to control the baking temperature and ensure that it is within the range of the powder coating formula design. If this temperature limit is exceeded, the color of the coating film is also prone to exceed the specified color difference range.
The baking time of powder coating also has a significant impact on the color difference of powder coating film. Due to the limited heat resistance of the resins, curing agents, organic pigments, and additives used in powder coating formulations. Heat resistance not only includes the heat resistance temperature, but also the holding time at that temperature. If the baking and curing time of powder coating is too long, due to the oxidation effect of air or the thermal decomposition of certain components in the powder coating, some components in the powder coating will undergo chemical changes, resulting in yellowing of the coating or discoloration of the coating due to certain side reactions, and even a decrease in the mechanical properties of the coating, while also causing color difference problems with the standard color palette. Therefore, controlling the baking time is just as important as controlling the baking temperature.
In the process of using coatings, it is closely related to the coating process to fully utilize the characteristics of the coating. Like powder coatings, the baking temperature and time during the baking process are factors that determine the final effectiveness of the coating.
